Garbh Allt Community Initiative
Development Officer – East Sutherland Salary £25,000
30hrs per week
Duration of Post: Initially 1.5 years
Garbh Allt Community Initiative was formed to progress the purchase of Sutherland Estate land in the crofting townships of Portgower, Gartymore, West Helmsdale and Marrel. In addition, it is to manage and develop the land on behalf of the communities who live there. The Initiative has completed the purchase of the land and secured funding from the Scottish Land Fund for the employment of a part-time Development Officer.
The successful candidate will co-ordinate and support the efforts of The Garbh Allt Community Initiative by developing the business plan contents, alongside nurturing of the community` long term vision.
The ideal applicant will be qualified to degree level with experience in community development or community land trusts, we also welcome applications from those without a degree who have relevant experience.
